• Remove material close to the stove
• Unplug the coffee machine and toaster
• Change faulty sockets and electrical outlets
• Do not leave towels or other textiles laying on heaters
• Blow out the candles when you leave the room
• Unplug the TV antenna when there is a thunderstorm
• Make sure the TV is standing unobstructed
• Clean the kitchen fan
